Live Jazz Entertainment with full-kitchen providing unique appetizers with a broad choice of martini and other liquors and beers preferred by nightclub customers. This project required the use of a real-time RSS Web feed live entertainment schedule supported on the website by an event calendar with performance portfolios of the region's most accomplished jazz pianists and vocalists.

Active Server Pages were used to convert the Microsoft FrontPage® static HTML website to an interactive database driven e-commerce Affiliate Marketing and Management line of business integrated with LaGarde's StoreFront 5.0 e-commerce shopping cart using ASP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
This industrial laundry service provider with facilities and operations in four midwestern states hired me as a business consultant to plan, design, and implement the company's first intranet.
Visio was used to document and conduct business process analysis followed by my installation of Windows NT4 Server configured with IIS4, FTP and NNTP servers accessible via VPN. Intranet web applications were developed using ActiveX controls, Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, and HTML.
A functional copy of the company's contact manager that I designed and developed is shown above noting this project was developed to function with IE4. Any use of the contact manager demo with other browsers can and will result in display anomalies.
This project for a reseller of after-market truck parts became a textbook example of how clients can become their own worst enemy. When hired, my explicit instructions were "get us found on the search engines so we can motivate customers to visit one of our stores."
My expertise providing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) resulted in this website being listed by Google for nearly three years as the very first item on the very first page. The server logs consistently showed the store locations and hours of operation pages were loaded more frequently than any other page on the site. Now that's what I call success!
This client then fell victim to golf buddies who criticized the site claiming it lacked 'pizazz.' The client did not take my advice to leave well enough alone and ignored my advice and proposal to develop a second site which would be designed with pizazz.
The client stopped doing business with me and purchased a cookie-cutter template website from an out-of-state provider who cold-called claiming to specialize in the after-market parts industry. Because cookie-cutter templates sold over and over again use the exact same words and terms and have the exact same layout and links as those templates sold to many other after-market resellers my former client's website is no longer unique, has not been optimized and can no longer be found when using any search engines.
Designed first implementation of the company's multi-state enterprise-wide Intranet framework reducing costs and improving staff awareness of enterprise-wide information. Converted 350+ Microsoft Word documents manually coding HTML and Javascript for integration with other ISO documentation. Tasked by executive management with selecting and implementing content management software enabling staff to update content, NetObjects Fusion was selected and used as it was literally the only shrink-wrapped content management authoring solution sold at the time.
A new website has since been designed and developed by others.
Maintaining the company's black and gold color scheme used on their fleet of service vehicles I redesigned this website using manually coded HTML and Javascript to enhance the promotion of and the recruitment for this auto glass industry repair and replacement training organization.
As a self-employed Architectural CAD Manager and Construction Manager, I upgraded and maintained computer equipment; designed, photographed, wrote and managed technical marketing publications; used AutoCAD to convert metric drawings to foot-inch, created a library of wood window and door details; modified drawing details for various sets of shop drawings; provided on-site construction management of staff and contractors installing the company's products in luxury residential, historic renovation, and commercial projects.
NOTE: You may have to download the Autodesk DWF Viewer to view the AutoCAD drawings archived here.
